Come and polish off your bank holiday with a wonderful Sunday evening of queer folk punk at one of London's best alternative bars!

What better way to mark the end of a summer of good times than with a lovely Sunday evening at New River Studios with this cracking folk-punk line-up? The beers are fresh, the pizzas are the tastiest and the vibes are chilled and happy in this warehouse district! We're super proud to bring you EVAN GREER one of the most radical folk-punk singers from the US who actually practices what she preaches and is involved in some amazing activist campaigns as well as being an inspiring queer parent - somehow they still find time to write and play songs, and we're buzzing to have them playing for us! They are on tour with POG from Brighton and local folk-punkers Chuck SJ + Efa Supertramp will also be supporting! IT'S GUNNA BE A BANGER MATE.

\\ EVAN GREER // Evan Greer is a trans/genderqueer activist singer/songwriter, parent, and organizer based in Boston. She writes and performs high-energy acoustic songs that inspire hope, build community, and incite resistance! Evan tours internationally as a musician and speaker, and facilitates interactive workshops to support movements for justice and liberation. Wielding an arsenal of fiercely radical songs that vary in style from pop-punk poetry to foot-stompin’ bluegrass singalongs, Evan has been honored to collaborate, tour, and share stages with artists as musically diverse as Pete Seeger, Against Me!,Talib Kweli, Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine, Against Me!, Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, Michael Stipe (REM), Amanda Palmer, Immortal Technique, Kimya Dawson, Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth), Hari Kondabolu, Billy Bragg, Pamela Means, Anti-Flag, Downtown Boys, The Coup, Anne Feeney, Oi Polloi, Dispatch, Dirty Projectors, Screaming Females, and Chumbawamba. She's currently the campaign director for Fight for the Future, the viral digital rights nonprofit behind the largest online protests in history. Evan writes regularly for The Guardian Time, Newsweek, and HuffPost, has been a guest on Good Morning America and All Things Considered, and has been interviewed about her music activism by the New York Times, Rolling Stone, TIME Magazine, Pitchfork, NBC News, Billboard, the Wall Street Journal, Spin Magazine, CBS News, Washington Post, Democracy Now!, The Atlantic, The Nation, CNN, Mother Jones, and even Fox News.

\\ CHUCK SJ (acoustic) // Chuck SJ is a multidisciplinary artist, often exploring trans and autistic matters through various forms. Chuck has completed five European tours, twelve U.K tours,15 albums and 2.EPs. Chuck has performed at Manchester pride, L-Fest, 2000 Trees, Brighton Pride, Anarcho Folk Festival Amsterdam, Trans Pride, LadyFest Maastricht and numerous off grid locations; including 'trailer parks' in Germany, Switzerland and Amsterdam, woodlands scattered throughout Europe, A Metal kathedral in Utrecht, a warehouse in Sint-Niklass and an abandoned house home to a 10 ft dragon in Vienna. Chuck is well known for their gripping stage performance, unique guitar skills and brutal honesty.

\\ POG // Pog is a 6 piece folk punk collective from Brighton. Driven by violin, cello, accordion and whatever else we can find, we occupy a strange bit of land somewhere between the politics of anarcho punk and the toe-tapping tweeness of Belle and Sebastian. We've spent the last 23 years playing everything from living rooms, libraries and cafes to squatted universities, gardens and Glastonbury (only once though)

\\ EFA SUPERTRAMP // This Welsh folk-punk grrrl comes armed with a battered acoustic guitar and a powerful voice. She regularly tours across Europe – appearing at festivals, bars, squats, venues, living rooms and street corners to perform her songs in both Welsh and English. With just her guitar, some well-placed anger and a whole load of love to give she will bring a tear to your eye and some fire in your heart.
